13th Annual Pogo Gathering

A celebration under the sign of sun and conviviality

Like its predecessors in 2018, 2019 and 2020, the 2021 edition had weather conditions showing the Indian summer is a reality in Brittany, without any doubt.

With sixteen boats: two 12.50s, two 36s, two 10.50s, two 30s and eight 8.50s, this event would have enjoyed some furious surfing nevertheless it loved its great fraternal moments and all were delighted regardless.
The offshore racers, the sheet eaters, and the epicurean cruisers, all mixed together in a good mood to share their passion and exchange lots of information to increase the pleasure of sailing.

The fleet came from the north and the south (from Roscoff to Le Crouesty). Most of them arrived the day before, except for a starving man who came from Paris to join us by sea at 4am the same day…

Saturday allowed us to cross the bay up to the majestic Cap de la Chèvre with a good medium wind to yhen return under spinnaker to the Penn Sardin (the nickname of the people of Douarnenez).
Sunday morning saw only a modest round trip in the middle of the Bay.
All was good to get together on land as well: aperitifs (from Friday evening), breakfasts and a tasty dinner on Saturday crowned by a distribution of magnificent gifts generously offered by the shipyard and its suppliers.

In short, it was great! Thank you to our friends of the Winches Club for the co-organization, especially to Daphné and Pierre-Louis. Without forgetting Henri, who could not be present, but his Téa (Pogo 12.50) was there.

I let you discover some testimonies that will make you say “Too good, I’ll come next year”.

This short email to thank all those who contributed to the preparation and
running of this event. Very nice boats,
friendly crews, friendly atmosphere, idyllic setting, summer weather and nice
gifts… Perfect and Bravo. Thanks again and see you soon at sea.

We just got back. It was great. Thanks to all of you.

This meeting was for me a baptism and will remain a nice moment of conviviality between enthusiasts. These rich exchanges both humanly and technically will remain a magnificent memory. Thanks again to the AIP team to have organized this meeting with such a good hand, with so much benevolence and listening! See you next year

It’s quite hard to go back to work after such an amazing weekend with friends and passionate’s Pogo family. Many thanks to the Pogo Association for the hard work to organize this event and of course Structure for providing such nice presents. Can’tmiss it next year
