Hello,
I can’t engage the propeller in both forward and reverse. The duckbill propeller won’t open, and after blaming dirt on the propeller, I’ve come to the conclusion that the propeller doesn’t turn or turns very little.
After researching on the internet, I read that this problem was due to wear of the “dog” (dog on the exploded view of the base) and its spring, or even associated with wear of the front/rear clutch cones.
Have any of you encountered this problem and how was it solved?
Thank you for your help,
A Pogo 850 stuck in port
Hello,
You need to check whether the problem is with the joystick or the reverser itself. You can operate the reverser at the baseplate, by hand, by disconnecting the lever.
Hello Emmanuel,
Thank you for your reply. I’ve checked the operation of the lever and the control linkage, and everything’s OK. The problem would therefore be wear on the dog, or even on the sliding clutch sleeve.
To be continued.
