      Hello everyone,

On poog 8.5, we are wondering how to know if the bowsprit is sufficiently extended before sending the spinnaker. We’re not sure how to know if the bowsprit is sufficiently extended, as we once observed the bowsprit “wandering” due to the tension in the spinnaker and the lack of tension in the BD. We’re looking for the best way to take it in, but we’re afraid of taking in too much and breaking it too… Any advice?

Also, we suspect that the tack and outhaul lines for the BD are rinsed as they give back a lot each time…. signs of wear on the outhaul line. Do you know how to change them?

Thanks in advance for your help, have a nice day!
