I’d like to share with you a few things I’ve learned from using my boat. It would be great if everyone could contribute their own feadback.

      • Genoa: For the genoa to furl smoothly and effortlessly, you need to be downwind and let it pass in front of the balcony.
      • Gennaker: The halyard needs to be very tight (like a genoa in a breeze).
If you also keep a little sheet tension when furling it, it won’t make a pocket and can be kept hoisted upwind.
      • You can keep the cranks on the roof winches without any discomfort or risk of losing them, even when tacking (sheet inserted in the part that jams). This allows you to tack or gybe faster when sailing solo.
      • You shouldn’t heel more than 20° (25° in exceptional cases) upwind, otherwise you’ll slow down.
